SWITZERLAND · HOSTED BY DANIELA RYF

Come for the Ride.

A social ride through beautiful vineyards, a tasting with a winemaker chosen for a reason, local food, and a group that comes together through what they love. Created by Daniela Ryf, where her two passions align — made to be enjoyed together.

Stay for the Wine.

WHAT IS RIDE & VINO

Ride in the morning. Wine in the afternoon.

One day in the vineyards — a social ride, a long lunch, a wine tasting, a cellar or vineyard tour, and an apéro to finish. No race. Just good roads, beautiful views and great wine. Come as a pair, with friends or on your own: twenty-four people is small enough that you won't stay strangers for long.

The Ride

Daniela designs the routes for the views. Road bike, gravel bike, e-bike: one group, one pace, a social ride — and from the first kilometre to the last, nobody rides alone.

45-60km / 300-600hm / approx. 22km/h

The Wine

Daniela chooses the winery with care — a winemaker and a wine she connects with. The winemaker personally leads the tasting, glass after glass, and for one afternoon you're part of the estate's culture. Passion, it turns out, is something you can taste.

The Connections

People who love the same things connect fast. You ride beside people you've just met, share a regional lunch, and by the apéro you're planning the next ride. Come as a pair, with friends or alone.

YOUR HOST

"Cycling and wine are where my two passions align. My career needed science and passion in equal measure — winemakers need exactly the same, and that's where my fascination and my respect for them come from."

THE DAY

How the day unfolds.

Every event follows the same flow, wherever we ride. The route changes, the region changes — the rhythm doesn't.

MORNING
The Ride

01

The Ride

We roll out as one group and ride through scenic vineyards and on quiet tarmac, beautiful views the whole way — road bikes, gravel bikes and e-bikes side by side, one pace. Daniela designs each route for its beauty and for a great ride together, and she rides every kilometre with you. By the first climb you'll be riding next to someone you've connected with.

02

Lunch

Back from the ride, lunch is waiting at the estate — something regional, generous, and worth looking forward to. This is where we slow down: helmets off, legs stretched, time to relive the ride and relax before we head to the wine tasting.

AFTERNOON
Wine Tasting

03

Wine Tasting

Led by the winemaker, with bottles carefully picked out alongside Daniela. You'll hear the history of the estate, how the wine is made and why — and feel the passion behind it. With every glass you get a little closer to the winemaker, and to the wine.

Cellar or Vineyard Tour

Cellar or Vineyard Tour

Down into the cellar, or out between the rows, depending on the event and the season. This is where the full picture comes together — shown to you by the person whose heart beats for every single bottle.

Closing Apéro

A day with Daniela and a few kindred spirits deserves a proper ending. The apéro is where it settles — the same group that rolled out this morning, a whole day later, still plenty to say. You go home with the memory of the ride, the wine, and a few new connections.

FROM PREVIOUS GUESTS

What guests say about the event.

Thank you again for the wonderfully organised event yesterday. It was amazing — I'm still buzzing. And getting to meet Daniela up close was really special.

REBECCA

Malans 2026

What a fantastic combination: road cycling, the Bündner Herrschaft region, and outstanding wine! After a wonderful ride, a delightful tasting awaited us at Donatsch. Daniela and her team planned Ride & Vino with so much passion and attention to detail. A thoroughly enjoyable day with wonderful people, beautiful scenery, and exceptional wine!

SIMON

Malans 2025

What a great experience Ride & Vino was. Well organised by Jennifer and Daniela — a very scenic ride through the beautiful Swiss countryside that included a surprise sparkling wine tasting in the Donatsch vineyard. After tasting world-class wines at Domaine Donatsch we concluded the day in great company and with a beautiful view. We stayed at the event partner hotel, the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz, and their team took great care of us.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions people ask.

If yours isn't here, write to us — we answer in person.

How fit do I need to be? Anyone can join the ride. Have a look at the event you're interested in — the distance and the climbing are listed there — and ask yourself whether that feels doable. If you're unsure, an e-bike is a great choice. It's a social ride, not a race: on the flat we roll along at around 22 km/h, and nobody gets left behind.

What bike should I bring? We ride on well-paved roads, so a road bike, gravel bike or e-bike all work perfectly — and if a mountain bike is what you have, that's fine too. Bring your own; it's the one that fits you. If you can't bring a bike, let us know and we'll put you in touch with a rental in the area.

What happens if the weather turns? The event takes place in all weather. Check the forecast and bring clothing to match — we may adjust the programme a little on the day. If a serious storm comes up, we'll make changes on the spot and decide whatever is safe for the group.

What if I don't drink wine? You're very welcome. The tasting is just as much about how the wine is made and who makes it — and you can still enjoy and compare the aromas in the glass without drinking a drop. Let us know in advance and we'll make sure it's taken care of quietly.

Where do I stay? Wherever you like — but in some regions we have a hotel partner offering a discount to our guests. Once you've booked your ticket, the discount code arrives with your confirmation email, and you book your room directly with it. Why not come a day early or stay a little longer and enjoy what the region has to offer?

Which language is the day in? Each event lists its main language. We'll always do our best to look after English and German speakers — those are the languages we speak ourselves — so you'll never be lost, even if not every word is translated.

Can I cancel or transfer my ticket? You can transfer your ticket to someone else at any time — just send us an email so we know who's coming. If you need to cancel: more than 30 days before the event we refund 50 % of the ticket price; within 30 days we can't refund, as the winery and all other arrangements for your day are confirmed by then. The full terms are in our GTC.
